This post is dedicated to people who do not yet possess the wonderful skill of recognizing their own emotions. This skill is necessary to live consciously, be emotionally at ease, and to keep spirits at bay.
The first step is to observe your own well-being very carefully. Ask yourself, "How do I feel at this moment relative to the mood I had five minutes or an hour ago?" This will allow us to monitor changes in our mood on an ongoing basis. This is important, so we can discern when suffering coming from the spirit seems to be returning to our being. When we notice that we are feeling worse and worse, we are still at a stage when we are in complete control of the situation, we do not need any outside help yet. It is entirely up to us whether we allow ourselves to continue to hold on to the spirit-attracting emotions. These negative forces come to us periodically due to the subconscious habitual return to various emotional patterns.
When the spirit returns to us, we can, for example, repeat an affirmation like this: "I forbid the spirit to influence my thoughts and emotions, my body belongs exclusively to me." This affirmation should only be repeated when we feel a deterioration in our mood, that is, when the spirit returns to us. The idea is that the subconscious should be guided to understand that it is the spirit that is creating our negative mood.
It is also worth prompting the subconscious to understand that it is we ourselves who "turn on" the emotion that attracts the spirit. When we feel that the spirit is returning it is worth talking to the subconscious and giving it guidance.
Our subconscious has a name, and it is usually the one that our parents or the people who cared for us used to address us in childhood. So, if our name is Catherine, and our parents called us Kate, this is how we should address the subconscious. We can then say to it, for example, "See Kate, we are starting to feel worse again, it means that the spirit is returning to us." Tell Kate, "Do we want to attract this spirit to ourselves?" The subconscious does not want to suffer, and of course it will reply, "No, of course we don't want to.” We can then ask the subconscious, "Kate, what emotion attracts the spirit?" With a little luck, the subconscious will tell us right away. Although sometimes we will have to wait, the answer will appear eventually.
For our overall well-being and for total freedom from spirits, a key value is our relationship with the subconscious. Sometimes there is a conflict between the conscious mind (that part of you is reading this text now) and the subconscious (the emotional part of our being, our inner child), and the subconscious may feel offended because it is being ignored, sometimes for years.
In this arrangement, it is worth befriending the subconscious anew, not to reproach it for any reason, but to understand it. Above all, it is necessary to recognize that the subconscious did not become the way it is of its own volition, but because it is us, i.e., the conscious mind, who programmed it this way.
Making friends with the subconscious can begin by sitting down for a while and completely relaxing. Then we can consider what little Kate would want from us. The subconscious is a habitual part of us, and it has its own needs, which, if unmet, will lead to frustration and consequently to negative or even highly negative moods. Befriending the subconscious will put us in much better touch with ourselves and provide increasing influence over our emotional life.
Once we are relaxed, we can ask, "Kate, what would you like?" Most often the answer will turn out to be little things. A bath, hot tea, or just doing nothing for a while, going for a walk, or taking care of things that give us real joy, but which we don't allow ourselves to do in the hustle and bustle of our daily lives. Let's treat this exercise as a way to heal, not just from spirit possession but from many other negative things in our lives. It is a great milestone relating to our well-being. Reconciliation with the subconscious is the moment we begin to take responsibility for our own lives, but it is also the moment we begin to be masters of our own emotional lives. It is worth investing any amount of time in this, as it will pay us back many times over.
In the next post, we will talk about how to use the knowledge put together in the previous two posts to keep spirits permanently at bay.
