What to Do When a Spirit Tries to Possess Us?

We must remember that spirits are unable to possess or manipulate anyone who does not have a spirit-attracting force within them. The encounter between our soul and a spirit occurs, due to the law of attraction. This means that if, for example, I am a person who is often angry in my everyday life, I will attract angry spirits to myself. If I am jealous, I will attract spirits that were jealous during their physical life. It is not possible to have a situation in which a spirit--even a very strong one with a psychic force that exceeds our own--would be able to influence us just because the spirit decided, for example, to take away our energy. The spirit can only approach us if we have a negative emotion, parallel to an emotion which the spirit also has.

The Role of Emotional Bonds in Spirit Attraction

Sometimes we attract the spirits of loved ones who do not necessarily have the same emotional qualities as we do, such as a deceased aunt who, let’s say, was an alcoholic when she was alive. Then it may happen that we too begin to have an attraction to alcohol, or begin to manifest the aunt’s emotions, that are completely foreign to us. In this case the attracting force is the emotional closeness between us and the aunt, which was formed during her lifetime. Perhaps the aunt took care of us as children, and we liked her very much. Now the desire to be close to someone who once gave us love can bring us suffering in the form of possession.

The problem here, of course, is not love, but our desire to receive love from outside. For humans to be safe it is we who must love--and first and foremost love ourselves. This, of course, is not about selfish, narcissistic love based on the principle of “Me first and only I am important.” It just means liking ourselves the way we are, and not judging ourselves for anything that happened in the past. It is about affection felt towards ourselves, feeling good in our own skin. To sum up, let us remember that no spirit will approach us unless it has an emotional bond with us.

The Process of Spirit Removal and Its Effects

The Process of Spirit Removal and Its Effects

During the spirit removal process, spirits are led away from individuals every day, often several times a day. As a result, they are free from spirits at some point during the day, but later the spirits return to them again. It is important for us to remember a few rules, especially during the first month of the spirit removal process. When the spirits are not with us, we feel good. We must then say to ourselves: "This is the normal state, this is how it should always be."

When the spirits begin to return, we start to feel worse and worse. The returning spirit does not possess us immediately; it is a gradual process. So, we begin to feel its emotional ballast more and more strongly, as well as a decrease in our energy. At first, we only feel the spirit's aura, when it possesses us our emotions merge with the spirit’s emotions. At this stage we cannot distinguish between our own emotions and the spirit's emotions.

When the spirit is outside of us, we can feel its emotions very strongly. But when it possesses us we cease to feel this intensity of emotion, because we become physically exhausted. This is the moment when the spirit takes the most energy from us, and this is when we feel the most tired.

Even though the spirits are being led away from us, the spirit's attracting power remains. As the time passes during the spirit removal period, this emotional attracting power decreases. We start to attract the spirit with less and less intensity. This is because our subconscious learns the process that as we enter the emotion that attracts the spirit (for example, when we get extremely angry, jealous, or anxious), all the suffering of the possession returns to us, and our subconscious begins to distance itself from this emotion. Therefore, many people who are undergoing the spirit removal process do not need to work on their own limitations. This process goes on for them as if it was automatic.

How Should We Observe Our Emotions During Spirit Removal?

However, there are cases when we have built up substantial amount of negative emotions, for example, anger, and then the subconscious is not able to deal with the situation on its own. In such a case, we must observe our emotions very carefully. We will then easily notice that before we became possessed again by the spirit, because we felt the emotion that attracted the spirit. Only a person who is undergoing the removal process and is very good at recognizing their own emotions will be able to notice this.

Why is Emotional Awareness Important in Spirit Removal?

And what happens when we do not have a perfectly developed emotional awareness yet? That will be the subject of the next post. It is worth reading it even if we know our own emotions well, as everyone will find ways to deepen their emotional awareness.
