Can Spirits and the Subconscious Mind Affect Our Emotional and Physical Well-being?

Understanding Spirit Possession and the Subconscious Mind

Let's begin by exploring the concept of the subconscious mind. It is a realm within our psyche that operates beyond our conscious control. It encompasses mental processes that occur beneath the surface of our awareness, yet can influence conscious thoughts, emotions, and, consequently, behavior. The subconscious serves as a repository for memories, experiences, beliefs, and skills not actively processed in our conscious mind.

Automatic Functions and Subconscious Influence

Many physiological functions and cognitive processes unfold automatically, without conscious oversight. For instance, the subconscious regulates physiological processes such as breathing, digestion, and heart rate, as well as automatic responses to stimuli, like reflexes. It can store and process emotions that might not be fully comprehensible or accepted at the conscious level. It has the potential to shape an individual's decisions and behavior, even when the person remains unaware of the underlying influences.

The subconscious can process information and problem-solve in the background while the conscious mind is occupied with other tasks. It often manifests itself through dreams, reflecting stored memories, fears, and desires. Of particular interest is the realm of emotional and mental activity affected by the subconscious.

Shifting Focus and Levels of Consciousness

In life, people primarily focus on the physical world and their physical bodies. This focus is somewhat akin to using a magnifying glass. When we look through it at something, the images are amplified, and the more we magnify, the more we lose sight of things in the periphery.

This principle also applies to human vision. Only a small percentage of what we see is in sharp focus, while the rest, known as peripheral vision, remains blurry. When our attention is anchored in the physical body, we only perceive a small fraction of our entire being. Many individuals concentrate solely on this limited portion, neglecting the emotional, mental, and, most importantly, the spiritual levels.

When individuals pass away, their focal point of consciousness shifts from the physical realm to their emotional or astral body (for more information on astral body, please refer to Wanda Pratnicka’s book In the Wheel of Life Vol.2). During their lifetime, their consciousness was primarily tied to physical matters and the physical body. This focus can be likened to looking through a magnifying glass. As their focus shifts, they perceive and experience the world differently.

A significant portion of our daily physical existence takes place on the emotional level. However, many individuals remain oblivious to this realm, mainly because emotional issues often reach deep into the recesses of the subconscious mind. When emotional problems surface, we tend to push them into the background, hoping they become less sharp and fade into emotional peripheral vision.

Unconscious emotions have their own dynamics and tend to lead a life of their own, uncontrolled and unmanaged. This situation turns us into beings who emotionally react to external stimuli without a thorough understanding of the deep emotional mechanisms driving this process.

The Influence of Spirits

This is where the involvement of earthbound spirits comes into play—souls of deceased people who haven't moved away from the realms close to the physical world. They become entangled in negative emotions, eventually becoming a part of them. Meanwhile, our own emotions bring various emotional patterns to the surface, which in turn attract individuals with similar emotional patterns from the emotional realm. As a result, we draw individuals resembling us emotionally into our sphere, including both physically living individuals and, more frequently, spirits dwelling in the field of intense negative emotions. This occurs quite easily because spirits lack a fixed position in space and can easily traverse it, typically without awareness or understanding of the process. They are simply drawn to people, often without comprehending how it happens.

Once a connection is established between our emotional body and the emotional body of a spirit, the intensity of our emotions begins to escalate—anger, hatred, self-pity, jealousy, and fear, among others. At this stage, we still have control over the situation, provided we remain conscious. We can work on our own negative emotions and neutralize them. Tips on how to achieve this can be found in many articles on this blog.

Because the subconscious also governs physiological functions, when spirits connect with an individual's emotional subconscious, they can influence the person's physical body. They can impact virtually every aspect of the body, potentially leading to disruptions and, if the situation persists, more severe disorders and illnesses. Consequently, spirits often become a cause not only of emotional and mental problems or personality disturbances but also of physical ailments.

In light of this perspective, it becomes essential for us to develop a better understanding of these processes. As we do, we automatically gain the motivation to delve more profoundly into the intricacies of negative emotional patterns. We also summon the courage to confront them, work through them, and progress toward a higher level of emotional comfort. With this newfound understanding and the resulting motivation, we can significantly enhance the quality of our physical existence.
