Vegetarianism is becoming increasingly widespread, adopted for a myriad of reasons. As society becomes more informed, individuals are making conscious choices to alter their diets in ways that align with their values and the well-being of the planet. In today's post, we will answer the question: Can vegetarianism protect against spirit possession?
Modern attitudes towards vegetarianism often stem from concerns about animal welfare, objecting to the conditions under which animals are bred for meat and opposing the act of killing animals. Another significant motive is environmental protection; a plant-based diet is considered to have a lesser impact on the environment than a meat-based diet, especially in terms of greenhouse gas emissions and the use of natural resources. The production of meat requires vast amounts of animal feed and water, which heavily burdens agricultural areas. In other words, by allocating agricultural production for human consumption instead of for animals, we can nourish a much larger human population.
Health is another crucial factor influencing the choice of a vegetarian diet. An increasing body of scientific research points to the health benefits of a diet rich in vegetables, fruits, legumes, and whole grains, including a reduced risk of cardiovascular diseases, certain cancers, and other chronic conditions.
Moreover, vegetarianism is often chosen as part of a life philosophy and ethical stance that combines respect for life and the pursuit of living in harmony with nature. Instincts to ensure animals are treated with dignity and love are becoming more pronounced within us.
Vegetarianism takes various forms, from those who exclude only red meat from their diets to those who avoid all types of meat, and vegans who eliminate all animal-derived products from their diet. In many countries and cultures worldwide, vegetarianism has become an important part of social discussions on health, ethics, and environmental protection, with a growing number of vegetarian restaurants and products making it easier to adopt and maintain this lifestyle.
In the process of breeding, transporting to slaughterhouses, and slaughtering animals, their bodies release stress hormones, such as cortisol, into the bloodstream. In humans, cortisol serves a similar role, triggering the so-called "fight or flight" response. Over time, it weakens the body's natural defense response, making it more susceptible to infections. Cortisol can affect blood pressure, increasing it. Some appreciate this bodily reaction, claiming that meat consumption gives them energy and zeal for the daily struggle for existence. However, cortisol also affects cognitive functions and mood. High levels of cortisol can lead to concentration problems, anxiety, depression, and other mental issues.
When our nervous system is constantly stimulated by cortisol, it negatively affects how we perceive and process emotions, making a person irritable and agitated under its influence. This facilitates interactions with spirits, as a person under the influence of substances contained in meat or substances like alcohol lowers their vibration, descending down the vibrational ladder towards the low levels where deceased human spirits reside, becoming susceptible to their influence. Spirits struggling with survival fear trigger survival-oriented behaviors in us when cortisol affects our physical body. Thus, cortisol acts as a stimulator of our survival fears.
Our physical bodies must become increasingly "luminous" through a healthy, high-vibration diet rich in vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, and seeds. A plant-based diet is rich in fiber, which supports healthy digestion. The digestive system is crucial as it contains the enteric nervous system, sometimes called the "gut brain," which consists of millions of neurons capable of independent action and communication with the central nervous system, affecting digestion and a range of other body functions. The gut flora plays a key role in digestion, vitamin production, protection against pathogens, and immune system influence. Research also indicates connections between gut flora and mental health, including conditions like depression and anxiety. Increasing evidence suggests that the gut influences mood and mental health, a fact known to yogis for millennia, which is why they avoid meat products.
Of course, a vegetarian or vegan diet alone cannot guarantee freedom from the influence of spirits on our lives, but it is a significant factor in the process of easy digestion of food (as we then do not have to use up to 90% of our energy to digest heavy meat) and maintaining high vibrations. Not only will it ensure our well-being, but it will also help protect us from contacts with negative entities from the lower levels of the emotional world.
