Understanding Our Subtle Bodies

How Do Our Physical and Subtle Bodies Interact With Emotions and Spirits?

An Exploration of Our Emotional Existence

We inhabit not only a physical body but also several subtle bodies. The first non-material body is the etheric body. It serves a critical role in channeling energy from the higher dimensions of our being to the physical body. Without this energy, derived from our Higher Self, we wouldn't be able to perform even the simplest tasks, like moving a finger.

Emotion: Origin and Reaction

Our subtle body is the emotional or astral body (find more information on emotional / astral body in Wanda Pratnicka's book In the Wheel of Life Vol. 2). This body is the repository of our emotions, from the most terrifying to the most wonderful. Heavy, negative emotions cluster in the lower regions of the astral world, close to the physical dimension. If we make contact with spirits, this interaction is naturally based on negative feelings, as spirits who didn't transition to the other side, inhabit these lower regions of the astral world dominated entirely by irritation, anger, rage, hatred, jealousy, envy, fear, and so forth.

Emotions can originate from various sources, primarily from our own emotional body. They represent all the energies we've gathered around us, representing how we react to various life situations. When life is calm, the reaction will be enthusiasm, satisfaction, and fulfillment. If not, irritation, anger, sadness, or fear usually surface.

We establish our emotional patterns, so our reactions to life's circumstances depend on us. Therefore, it's possible to respond to turbulent times with complete calm, depending on our beliefs and convictions. Our thoughts establish and activate existing emotions. Beliefs are one of the most important aspects we should manage, but they can be elusive. Thoughts have a much higher vibration than emotions, which can make it challenging for our brain to correctly recognize them. Thus, self-improvement should start "from the bottom," by observing our most personal emotions. They are simply easier to name.

When negative emotions arise, we must strenuously focus on two things - their recognition and appropriate reaction. If a negative emotion appears, it should not be surrendered to, but rather observed and experienced as intensely as possible without giving in or responding to it. This is a challenging art, but it's the only viable path.

If we succumb to negative emotions, we fall into a cycle of negative feeling, thinking, and action. Such an attack, if fully surrendered to, can cost us significantly. If we invest a lot of energy in a negative emotion, we can strengthen it to an unimaginable degree. There are people who, through one rage attack, have completely ruined the possibility of realizing the plan they set for their entire incarnation. The higher we are in spiritual development, the greater the danger, as we command more and more energy. This applies not only to fear but every negative emotion, which all, in fact, are based on fear. For example, anger at a partner is nothing but fear that through their actions, we will be unable to experience something good we desire.

Collective Emotion: The Impact of Others

Another source of our emotions is other people, humanity as a collective. This applies to many everyday situations, and is most evident when entire nations fear the same thing. For example, fear of contracting COVID affected every person on Earth, fueling and provoking a fear of death. The same thing is happening now with the conflict in Ukraine. We've experienced this before - during the Cold War. Such situations impact all of humanity, which then emanates a strong fear for the survival of the human species.

Spirits: The Source of Negative Emotions

Another source of emotions, exclusively negative ones, is spirits. As they reside in the field of very powerful negative emotions of the astral world, they will radiate exceptionally strong energy towards us. The intensity of these emotions provides an opportunity to identify whether a particular negative emotion is ours or comes from spirits.

When a person feels fear (when they're angry, jealous, depressed, etc.), this emotion is clearly perceptible, but it's usually subtle, not very strong. If an emotion is very intense and persistent, this is a clear indication that it comes from spirits. This does not necessarily mean we are dealing with spirit possession. Initially, spirits are attracted to us, and only when they are very close can they enter our physical body. In both cases, it's certainly worth checking what causes such feelings.
